Location: Shalamov's grave is located at Old Kuntsevo Cemetery in Moscow. Directions: Go up the path from the street, pass the church to the left, and go through the gate into the cemetery. Take a right. Go down four rows. His grave is on your left at the third marker.

Background: Shalamov was buried in Kuntsevo in 1982, and the bust on his grave was made by sculptor Fedot Suchkov. In 2001 the bust was stolen. Irina Sirotinskaya (heir of Shalamov's archive) and Marina Vorono of the Shalamov Museum in Vologda had it replaced soon after its loss was discovered.
